What is a database, how do you use one for dynamic pages? We use databases to provide accuracy, consistency and flexibility on the College of Humanities Web site. The databases that we create can also be accessed by departments for use on their Web sites. But before you can use a database, you need to have an understanding of them. This section will present some basic database information to get you started.
